Newport Beach in early May
On Mutual Safe's 10-year anniversary of moving the business from Missouri to California, I got invited, as a Mutual dealer, to participate in the festivities. I got to meet Greg, Mutual's sales/service guy, see a lot of friends from my old stomping grounds, and a bunch of my competitors who are really a lot of fun--especially the wonderful guys that run Keep Safe down in San Diego.
The party was held on a chartered boad in the Newport Beach harbor. The crew was fantastic and extremely pleasant, there was catered Mexican food and an abundance of drinks, wine, and beer.
Everybody was quickly in a great mood and as the boat moved about the harbor, the sun gently set and the temperature dropped quickly but not severely. Between the stories of exotic snorkeling and trips to France the party came to a close.
The greater Los Angeles/Orange County area is a tricky travel destination. There are lots of interesting sights but are fairly spread out. To get the most of it, make sure to have a local show you around.
